Medical Forms & Required Shots

  1. What shots do I need?
  2. Do we have to have medical insurance to go on projects?

1) What shots do I need?
An updated Tetanus shot is highly recommended for ALL projects.
Hepatitis A is recommended for the following projects:
  • New Orleans
  • Nuevo Laredo
  • Ecuador - Typhoid also recommended
  • Iquitos, Peru - Typhoid and Malaria also strongly recommended
  • Panama
  • Lima, Peru

2) Do we have to have medical insurance to go on projects?
No. We strongly encourage medical insurance but do not require it. However, each person going on the mission project must sign an AIM medical release form and send a copy of it to the AIM office. Your group leader will keep the original during the project. Each person will be responsible for any medical costs he or she incurs on the project.
