Shepherd Services is the part of AIM that promotes the care and growth of staff members. AIM recognizes that as a ministry, its primary assets are its people. AIM is committed to invest in its people.
Shepherd Services helps assess the strengths, skills, and dreams of AIM staff. Staff go through interviews and take a battery of tests to ensure optimum self-knowledge. AIM’s desire for each of our missionary staff is for them to know and fulfill their calling, in all its depth. To help staff grow, we disciple, care for, and train them.
There are many stages along the missionary pathway, each with its challenges and need. Shepherd Services works with staff to identify areas where the staff want to grow.
Shepherd Services works with staff and leaders to encourage, and equip them. If a critical situation occurs, Shepherd Services is involved remotely and/or on the scene to provide more intensive care and support. When a missionary prepares to return to the USA or Canada, we endeavor to help them prepare for the transition from their place of service to home.
Note to AIM staff candidates
Dear future missionary,
If you’re a missionary at AIM, we desire to walk beside you (along with your team leaders, sending church, and accountability partners) from the time you begin your candidacy process to when God calls you from your missionary service.
We want to work with you and your team leaders to assist you in determining your next steps in ministry and missions.
Prayer is a mainstay of our care for you. Your needs matter to us, and they matter to others. We love to be in touch with you by phone and email, and to see you when our paths converge. The bottom line: AIM cares about our people; at Shepherd Services, you are our mission field!
Your partners in ministry,
The Shepherd Services staff
