What AIM Mission Trip Level Is Best For My Group?
AIM is serious about your ministry. AIM wants your group to have a positive, rewarding, spiritually productive experience. We do this by assigning each mission trip a ministry level. The ministry level is based upon the ministry experience required as well as the nature of the cross-cultural experience and challenging conditions that the student will encounter.
We will help you choose a trip according to your group's spiritual maturity, ministry experience and tolerance for new and many times less comfortable living environments. In the minimum, every member of your mission team must be in a living, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. They will be challenged to share how Christ has changed their lives. They'll be expected to tell others clearly and concisely how to have a personal relationship with Jesus.
We have the following three levels of ministry:
Level 1: This level is for students who have little or no mission experience and is intended to introduce youth to the world of missions and enhance their spiritual growth. A level 1 trip is a one-week trip in a relatively low-risk ministry site and semi-comfortable housing.
Level 2: This level is for students with some mission experience. The focus of a trip at this level is prayer and sharing Christ through relationship with the local people. A Level 2 trip is a seven-to-fourteen day trip in a mid-intensity ministry site in a less comfortable living environment.
Level 3: This level is for students with significant mission experience who can radically serve, and, in the process be spiritually transformed. A level 3 trip is a ten-to-fourteen day trip in a very high intensity ministry site where students engage in relational evangelistic ministry almost the entire time and live in less than comfortable living conditions.
